 | Nataša Zavolovšek (Ljubljana) For Nataša Zavolovšek the first touch with culture was, when she started working as a coordinator for Metelkova Network, an association that linked together the entire non-official culture. Its goal was to create a modern cultural center in the premises of a large military complex. After two years of struggling they partially succeeded. In 1995 she began working as assistant director in Drama school. Her work involved coordination among pedagogues and students, writing of programs, school promotion and production. In 1998 she started to work as the independent producer with independent societies E.P.I Center and Maska. In year 2000 she became a director of Exodos Ljubljana. Exodos Ljubljana, established in 1994, is a non-profit, independent theatre and dance production centre. For the past ten years in the month of May, it has been organizing the Exodos, International Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, which is the biggest international festival for contemporary stage arts in Slovenia. Besides, it produces several new productions by young choreographers and directors every year, and takes care of their presentation in Slovenia and - through its international connections - other countries around the world. In year 2003 Nataša became also the executive producer of the Slovenian dance platforma Gibanica/ Moving cake. She got award for organizing the best cultural event in 2003. |
